Celebrate Spring at the Raritan Library with a special tasting of Chinese teas paired with delicious desserts. Throughout the hour-long tasting, learn about the history of tea, its importance in Chinese culture, and the six main categories of tea. Savor handmade desserts and taste two Chinese teas brewed in the traditional gongfu style (with time and effort). A live guzheng (zither) performance will conclude the event. Presenter Marjorie Wang grew up in NJ, and attended university in Shanghai, where she fell in love with Chinese teas. After an apprenticeship at NYC's Tea Drunk, she began sharing her passion with local communities through tea and dessert pairing events at libraries, community centers, and clubs.
