During the month of October, South Bound Brook resident Isabell Villacis will have on exhibit several of her paintings at the Bound Brook branch in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month.
Isabelle Villacis, born with severe cerebral palsy, has been creating art since the age of 16. Isabell has excelled in many art forms, particularly in acrylic painting. She also creates abstract music, sculptures, photos and has done some graphic design. Her art has been exhibited throughout New Jersey including the Princeton Museum. She is a member of Fundación Manos A La Ayuda Inc. and is the inspiration for a scholarship fund called “The Picasso Dream” which provides scholarships each year to students graduating from high school with physical or learning disabilities who want to pursue their dreams in the field of art.
