Chair Yoga

From the View of Poets

Discover mindful movement and poetry. Through active chair yoga and meditation, this series explores yoga’s 5 ethical principles (the yamas), pairing each concept with poetic lines and song lyrics.

Taught by a 200 hour certified yoga instructor and librarian. All levels are welcome, and bringing a yoga mat is recommended. 

Week 1: Ahimsa (Non-Harming & Compassion)

Week 2: Satya (Truthfulness & Authenticity)

Week 3: Asteya (Non-Stealing & Contentment)

Week 4: Brahmacharya (Moderation & Energy Balance)

Week 5: Aparigraha (Non-Possessiveness & Release)
