Maribyrd (guitar, mandolin, vocals) is a songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who performs solo, as well as in multiple groups (Maribyrd and the Dreamband, The Toll Collectors, Sistarly Harmonies). Mari met vocalist and guitar player Sheila Shukla (Magnolia Street String Band, Sailors in Rags) in 2008 at a music party and the two vowed to team up one day and the group, Croonshine, finally formed in 2023.
Hannah Harel (Wilma and Soular Bone) joins the ladies on upright bass, bringing bluegrass, grunge, and metal roots to the mix.
The trio are joined by an assortment of friends and veteran bluegrass players including Peter Lister (Cirotti Trio) and Seth Mandel (The Fermenters) and Carol Sharar.
