Learning Lab

Arctic and Water Animals (entering grades K-5)

Tinker, create, and experiment in our Learning Lab. We’ll be exploring arctic and water animals using STEAM including penguins feathers, whale blubber, and how sharks float and swim.

Supplies:

• 2 large sandwich bags
• Large Bowl
• Ice
• Vegetable shortening (or another type of fat such as oil, yogurt, butter, etc.)
• 2 balloons
• oil
• water
• big tub or bowl 
• Sharpie
• White Card Stock or Paper
• Crayons (black, white, and orange)
• Spoon 
• Water
• Blue Food Coloring (optional)
