Teen Volunteer Opportunity

SRC Helper Scheduling Appointment

Once registered for an appointment, you will visit the Youth Services Desk anytime within this time frame to review the SRC Helper scheduling binder and to create your own summer schedule.

Only register for 1 appointment. Duplicate registrations will be deleted and removed from the scheduling appointment list.

Teen volunteers must be present for their own appointments and are welcome to bring a parent/caregiver to help decide which shifts work best for their availability.

The scheduling binder will be provided to registered volunteers on a first come, first serve basis. The library will only accommodate registered volunteers per time frame. If multiple volunteers arrive at the same time, there may be a wait to review the scheduling binder.

Volunteers will have up to 15 minutes during their appointment to review the binder and schedule themselves for up to 1 SRC Helper shift per week. Come prepared with your summer availability to ensure you schedule yourself for shifts when you will be able to volunteer.

Please make a copy of your schedule for your records as the library will not send reminders of your shifts. (ex: type it into your phone, write it on scrap paper, create calendar reminders for yourself, take a photo of the page, etc.)

After the scheduling appointment week concludes, volunteers will be notified via e-mail if they can register for additional shifts.

Start times are the earliest we can assist volunteers. If multiple volunteers arrive at toward the end of an appointment and there is not enough time to for everyone to create their schedule, we may ask you to move to another appointment.
