Chris Gash has been an illustrator for 20 years working for the New York Times, the United Nations, the New Yorker, Time Magazine, Scientific American, Fortune, The Atlantic, and many others in the United States and internationally. His work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, American Illustration and his work has been included twice in the annual New York Times Best of Illustration. Chris was a founding faculty member of the Illustration and Animation program at Montclair State University from 2006 to 2017.
Chris will explain how conceptual illustration continues to be a part of a field that is constantly changing and evolving. He will talk about the process of solving visual problems under the demanding deadlines in editorial and share some of his favorite assignments from two decades of working as an illustrator.
