In this program, we will explore Rob Reiner's storied career from his early days as a comedic performer and actor on one of the most influential TV shows of all time, "All in the Family," to his
acclaimed role as a one of Hollywood's most iconic and versatile directors. His enduring legacy is highlighted through classics such as his directorial debut “This Is Spinal Tap” (1983), “The Princess Bride”’ (1987), “Stand by Me” (1986), “When Harry Met Sally” (1989), and “A Few Good Men” (1992), among many others.
Presenter: Greg Blank is a Long Island based filmmaker, film historian and lecturer, Greg has over 15 years of experience as a producer, director, cinematographer and editor. He has been lecturing on film and media studies and other topics since 2018.He is an award-winning producer for the show “Push Pause Long Island” on Verizon Fios1, and as a documentarian for the films “Undocumented” (2016), and “A World Within a World: The Bay Houses of Long Island” (2020). Greg has developed and produces over 70 lecture programs for public and private clients, including LIU Post Hutton House, Molloy College, The Huntington Cinema Arts Centre, and dozens of colleges, libraries, and venues throughout the the country.
