The Campbell's Company was started in 1869 by Joseph A. Campbell, a fruit merchant from Bridgeton, New Jersey, and Abraham Anderson, an icebox manufacturer from South Jersey. They produced canned tomatoes, vegetables, jellies, soups, condiments, and minced meats.
The presenter will discuss Joseph Campbell, and others who worked to make the company what it is today, as well as how Burlington County farmers played a role in its success.
Presented by Marisa Bozarth Museum Curator, History at Burlington County Division of Parks
