Learn of the shipwrecks off the coast of New Jersey, spanning in time from 1776 to 1943, and ranging geographically from right up next to New York City down to Cape May.

In this program, we will learn of the different different purposes of these ships (military, commercial, passenger, pleasure) and what happened to each of these wrecks, including comparing/contrasting them.
The presenter will also discuss some of the larger trends and developments during this period, including the changing types of power used for the ships and (slow) developments in safety measures over time.
