Meet Local Author Renee Kenny

(entering grades 5-12)

Local author Renee Kenny will discuss the inspiration and writing of a medieval fantasy- The Tales of Northborough.

Set during the Middle Ages and the conflict between magic and faith, The Tales of Northborough tells of the search for a holy artifact. The story begins, “Before the last Druids had left Albion, in the reign of King Malcolm, or Good King Malcolm as he was known, there lived a boy, Ranaulf, his mother and father, in the forest of Northborough. Renaulf's mother feared one thing above all else. More than fire, disease, hunger or the ruffians who roamed the forest, she feared the pewter cup that rested upon her mantlepiece.”

The author will discuss the inspiration for the book as well as her writing process.
