Alzheimer's disease is a brain disorder that gradually damages nerve cells and destroys memory and thinking skills. It's the most common cause of dementia in older adults.
This program is designed to provide caregivers a comprehensive overview of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
Caregivers of individuals with dementia will learn about the various stages of Alzheimer’s disease, the process of getting a diagnosis, strategies for caring for someone with dementia, and much more.
Presented by Alzheimer’s NJ: They are a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping and supporting the people and families who are impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. They do that in a number of different ways through programs and services that they provide. All of the funds that they raise go right back to New Jersey Caregivers.
