February is American Heart Month, a time to pay special attention to understanding, preventing and treating heart disease – the leading cause of death in the nation.
In this program, participants will learn that being educated and taking an active role in their own health can lead to healthier outcomes and a decrease in illnesses and disabilities associated with chronic disease.
This program will help participants identify what changes they can make in their daily lives, in order to achieve a healthier way of life.
After the program, there will be health screenings (blood pressure and cholesterol) conducted by the Somerset County Department of Health.
