Experience the splendor, beauty, and remarkable story of Longwood Gardens—one of the world’s great gardens—from wherever you happen to be! This online program serves as an introduction to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA and a virtual photo tour of the Gardens, to help tell the story of Longwood through time. Years before it was a public garden, the land on which Longwood Gardens stands was home to the native Lenni Lenape tribe and Quaker farmers. Since then, the land has undergone significant transformation to become the magnificent property that is enjoyed by more than a million guests each year. From the passion and vision of Longwood’s founder, Pierre S. du Pont, to the incredible work done by our dedicated staff and volunteers every day, to our ambitious plans for the future, come with us as we explore how the land and people of Longwood Gardens have shaped, and continue to shape, one another through time. All the while, we’ll be marveling at images of stunning Longwood landscapes and displays.

Presented by: Timothy Gould, Director, Continuing Education, Longwood Gardens.
