Join the Hillsborough Library and the Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ for a cancer prevention month workshop. We will discuss overviews of cancer, cancer screenings, and an overview of risk reductions.

April is National Cancer Control Month, Screen NJ partnered with the Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ will be hosting a Cancer 101 event on Tuesday April 23rd 3-4 pm in the library. The workshop will discuss:

  • Overview of cancer: how it starts, cancer development, and causes of cancer
  • Overview of cancer screenings and screening guidelines for major cancer sites
  • Overview of cancer risk reductions – how to protect yourself from cancer
