Mary Nelson, SCLSNJ New Jersey Librarian, will share information on the history of the Old Presbyterian Graveyard in Bound Brook.
The Old Presbyterian Graveyard is a 300-year-old burial ground adjacent to Bound Brook Memorial Library branch. With no church or office near the graveyard site, the library is the “go to” resource for information on the graveyard and the decedents interred there. Mary Nelson will explain how a wealth of information was found and compiled to create a reference source, covering history, genealogy and cemetery art, all emanating from a nondescript two acre site on the edge of town.
Will you need a special accommodation? Please contact the library, and if possible, provide at least two weeks notice prior to the event date and the library will make every effort to honor all requests. Thereafter, requests will still be considered and may have less of a chance of being honored.
