Let's travel back two thousand years to find out why and how the Chinese celebrate this holiday.
The Duanwu Festival, also known as the Dragon Boat Festival, is a traditional holiday that originated in China. Hear the story of the Dragon Boat Festival, see a traditional Chinese dance, and make a sachet called Xiang-bao. This program presented by Ying Zhang, a local business owner and teacher of Chinese folk dance.
Will you need a special accommodation (including food allergy if applicable to the program)? If so, please contact the library and provide at least two weeks notice prior to the event date and the library will make every effort to honor all requests. Thereafter, requests will still be considered and may have less of a chance of being honored.
