To fight back, they hatch a plan to persuade Italian-American singer Louis Prima to dine at Paradise – tempting him with a once-in-a-lifetime feast that means risking their entire life savings. Roger Ebert called Big Night “one of the great food movies of all time, and yet it is so much more. It’s about food not as a subject but as a language.”
