Paint Like Inuit Artist, Kenojuak Ashevak

Women's History Month

In celebration of Women’s History Month, learn about the life of Canadian Inuit artist Kenojuak Ashevak and create a work of art inspired by her graphic style.

Canadian artist Kenojuak Ashevak is internationally renowned for her contributions to Inuit art. Ashevak’s drawings and prints consisted of simple stylized motifs and symbols drawn from Inuit culture and folklore. Participants will use Ashevak's work as inspiration to create their own design on canvas using acrylic paints.
