Landscape Photography, presented by Phil Witt.
Learn how to capture landscapes to make your images as inspiring as the scenes you viewed. The basic principles of landscape photography will be taught, including examples of both successful and unsuccessful landscapes.
Photographing People, presented by Arik Gorban.
Learn how to take better pictures of people, whether formal portraits, group shots, or informal pictures, regardless of what equipment is used or the level of the photographer. Topics covered include basic camera controls, posing individuals and groups, getting the right expressions, working with various lights conditions, positioning the subject based on the light, and understanding white balance.
All three programs are intended for anyone who takes pictures, whether with a phone camera, a point and shoot, or a full featured SLR. The discussion will not be technical but will cover basic camera controls.
Arik Gorban is a celebrated photographer whose work has won numerous competitions and been exhibited locally, and published. Arik has been lecturing and judging photo competitions for many years.
Phil Witt is an outstanding nature photographer, past president of the Camera Naturalist Photography Club, New Jersey's only club devoted entirely to nature photography. Phil runs photography workshops for Audubon and currently serves on the NJ Audubon Board of Directors.
