Learn the skills and steps required to make a quilt.
Participants will learn how to measure, cut, and assemble basic quilt blocks. Sewing machines and sewing tools will be provided. Prior sewing knowledge is not required. Each class will build on the skills learned in the previous class. Fabric will be provided to new participants. Participants are asked to agree to an attendance policy since this class is very popular and has a lengthy wait list. Patrons removed from the class for too many absences will be able to register again and move back into the class when a space is available.
Sewing Machine Waiver:
I understand and freely and knowingly assume the potential risks involved with using a sewing machine. If there are any issues that will affect participation in this event or if a special accommodation needs to be made, I will contact the library at least one week prior to the event.
I do hereby waive, release and hold harmless the Somerset County Library System of NJ, its officers, sponsors, supervisors and representatives for any injury that may be suffered by me in the normal course of participation in this program and the activities incidental thereto, whether the result of negligence or any other cause.
Attendance Policy Terms:
I understand that if I am absent three times I will be withdrawn from the class registration list.
