Mandarin Storytime

(families with children)

In spirit of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we will read "Ten blocks to the Big Wok: a Chinatown counting book" or 漫步去大鼎福 and "I see the sun in China" or 我看在中国上空的太阳.

While the setting of the first book is in New York's Chinatown, the second book follows a young girl as she travels from a small town in China to the metropolitan city of Shanghai. These two books will provide our young audience a unique perspective of the culture, family life and language of China.

This storytime is ideal for young children ages 2-4 but all are welcome.
