Project B is a 1960s style R&B/jazz organ trio who perform classic songs by Jr. Walker, King Curtis, and other greats of the era, as well as original compositions.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Bridgewater Library.

The band is composed of Saxophonist/vocalist Joe Grillo, Organist Steve Rice and drummer David Anthony.
Saxophonist Joe Grillo has been leading bands and working as a side man professionally for decades. Currently the lead singer and composer for Project B. Joe leads the band, co-writes the music, edits the videos, and is the main driving force behind this popular Trenton based group. Joe also acts as section leader and arranger for the Reock & Roll Revue, a popular local group who performs classic album recreations in a theatrical setting. Mr. Grillo plays Baritone sax with the NJ shore power house Motown band, Motor City Revue and also freelances with many other Jersey entertainment groups such as Spare Parts, Holiday Express, Ambient DJ’s and D’Amico Entertainment.
In 2018 Joe met Steve Rice, an accomplished organ player from Seattle who recently moved to Philadelphia. Steve is also a prolific jazz composer with over 300 placements in TV and major Motion Pictures. Steve's original music has been heard TV shows and films including Green Book, Passengers, The Big Bang Theory, Handmaid's Tale and Sons of Anarchy. Steve and Joe started writing together and teamed up with other NJ musicians to form the Gumbo Gumbas, a NJ Zydeco/Swamp funk/jazz band.
David works with Joe in both the Gumbo Gumbas and Motor City Revue and plays with many of the top NJ acts. He has also performed and/or recorded with a variety of artists including Glen Burtnik, Jackie DeShannon, Patty Smyth, John Waite, the B.Q.E Project, the Billy Joel Broadway musical Movin’ Out, Darlene Love, Dennis DeYoung, and many more.
