The Latin American Chamber Music Ensemble is a group formed by dedicated classical musicians from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Bridgewater Library.
They cover a wide array of Latin American music, from traditional to recent popular music originating from Cuba, Argentina, Venezuela, and more. Coached by award winning Cuban musician Javier Diaz, the ensemble strives to honor the music that is not often heard or played in the classical field. For this performance, the ensemble has put together a program that demonstrates a variety of Latin styles, showcasing works from Astor Piazzolla, the Buena Vista Social Club, and other musical greats.
