Learn five techniques for creating various T-shirt bags via lecture and demo. Then you will be guided into creating your own no sew fringed shopping bag. Please bring one or two T-shirts to convert.
With the plastic bag ban in New Jersey, this DIY project is perfect. Create a shopping bag out of a T-shirt which is perfect for shopping!
Bring your own t-shirt. Other materials will be provided.
Presenter note: In choosing T-shirts for this bag, solids and patterns work great. Shirts with logos and images are fun as well. Just be aware that we cut about 6 to 7 inches down from the neckline if it’s a typical crewneck shirt. So it is possible that we could cut some of the picture off the shirt. If you have a shirt with a logo that sets lower, that would be ideal, but I have made several of these and cut some of the picture from the front and it still works fine.
