Even though fresh fruits and veggies are abundant, eating healthy over the summer can be a tricky balance. Presentation and tasting by Marion Reinson.
Staying on track is not easy when you feel pressure from your family and friends to “go with the flow’ and “enjoy” the food and an endless amount of treats easily within reach. Many of us hold emotional attachments to these seasonal and celebratory foods and often associate favorite memories of summer gatherings with the food. It doesn’t have to be that way. We’ll share strategies and tips for ways to dodge the pressure to overeat and keep on track with healthy eating.
Marion Reinson is the Executive Director of Eating For Your Health. Marion has been leading the non-profit since September of 2019 and before that, she spent her time working with businesses and non-profits in the development of their business and marketing strategies. She “fell in love” with Eating for Your Health (formerly Suppers) after participating in the garden program with founder, Dor Mullen. Marion soon started gardening more, making her own sauerkraut and made gradual changes to cook and eat in a healthier way.
