Andrew Koontz is a Princeton-based fiddler, vocalist, and guitarist who specializes in a variety of traditional folk and roots music.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Bridgewater Library.
He has participated in the local Irish music scene for many years, performing with the band Ballycastle as well as with noted Irish musicians, including Bill O’Neal, Chris Finnegan, and Kevin McCloskey. He is also the fiddler for Edna’s Kin, an Americana band that includes his brother Daniel Koontz and father Warren Koontz: their recent album Two Thumbs topped the Airplay Direct Country chart for August 2022 and received world-wide airplay.
He performs a wide variety of traditional Irish fiddle tunes – reels, horpipes, and jigs – but also pub songs and ballads that are a perfect fit for Irish History Month! Erin Go Bragh!
