Sign up for all 5 sessions, run by Montgomery High School students.
This summer we are hosting Scratch Camp, a 5-day computer programming session run by Montgomery High School students who have developed "Codeable Camps". (For more info on Codeable Camps, click here.) Please bring your own laptop, and download the offline editor for Scratch by clicking HERE prior to the first session.
Signing up for this program means you will be attending ALL 5 sessions: August 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24. With a curriculum revolving around step-by-step walk-through scripts, animations, and sprites, students will acquire the skill set and knowledge to not only build masterful projects within the Scratch programming language, but also to extend these concepts into actual coding in the future.
By the end of the course, students will be able to utilize their imagination and Scratch expertise to develop their very own "Final Project," whether it is a full-fledged game or an interactive story-based animation.
Will you need a special accommodation (including food allergy if applicable to the program)? If so, please contact the library and provide at least two weeks notice prior to the event date and the library will make every effort to honor all requests. Thereafter, requests will still be considered and may have less of a chance of being honored.
