New York Times best-selling author Michelle Knudsen will read from her work and talk about the writing process in this family-friendly event.
Michelle Knudsen is the New York Times best-selling author of fifty books for children and young adults, including the award-winning picture book Library Lion, which was selected by Time magazine as one of the 100 Best Children's Books of All Time. Other titles include the picture book Marilyn's Monster (NPR's Best Books of 2015) and the novels The Dragon of Trelian (VOYA Top Shelf Fiction for Middle School Readers) and Evil Librarian (YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults and winner of the Sid Fleischman Humor Award). Her most recent title is She Persisted: Nellie Bly, a chapter book biography of the groundbreaking journalist and part of Chelsea Clinton’s ongoing series about American women who changed the world. Michelle teaches writing for young people in Lesley University’s MFA program and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
