Vincent van Gogh was born on March 30, 1853.

Jay Schuck is an independent curator and art historian from Long Island, NY. He received his B.A. (magna cum laude, 2013) and M.A. (2019) in Art History & Criticism from Stony Brook University. His graduate thesis, Sculpting the Soul: The Bust Portraiture of Gian Lorenzo Bernini, received the inaugural “Outstanding M.A. Thesis Award” from Stony Brook University’s Department of Art. His research focuses primarily on the relationship between painting, sculpture, and art theory in Early Modern Italy. Jay has presented art historical lectures for a number of cultural institutions and public libraries across Long Island and abroad.
