Joel Farkas will tell the tale of why and how the Pilgrims set sail on the Mayflower.

Beginning with the Ancient Greeks through a history of explorers, the presenter will connect the voyage of the Mayflower to the wives of Henry VIII. We will learn of the first Thanksgiving, about the Wampanoags, and the Mayflower legacy.
This will be a journey to remember.
Presenter: Joel Farkas has lectured extensively on the American Revolution, including insights on George Washington, the Founding Fathers, the war in New Jersey, the lesser known heroes of the Revolution, and the role and impact of women during the war. He is a Lecturer at the Lifelong Learning Institute at Fairleigh Dickinson University and a volunteer docent at Washington’s headquarters in Morristown, NJ. He received the National Park Service Centennial Volunteer Challenge Award. A collector of original historical autographs, Mr. Farkas is a graduate of Ohio State University and served as an officer in the United States Army.
