An ERAP Educator will be available to assist potential ERAP applicants, assist them through the application submission process, and provide other assistance resources to renters and homeowners.
The Somerset County Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) provides significant economic relief to help low and moderate-income households at risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability by providing support for rental or utility arrears, and temporary rental assistance.
Somerset County received an allocation of $7,766,773.20 to provide rental and utility assistance for residents facing rental debt, potential eviction, or loss of housing security.
The program provides up to 12 months in arrears and 6 months for current and future rents for residents that meet all eligibility criteria
To qualify for this program, the applicant must be a resident of Somerset County and must meet the income / household guidelines below:
