Jim Wade, former archivist-researcher with the NJ State Museum, will discuss the Indian way of life in autumn season. Special emphasis will be on the Lenape-Delaware Indians "Big House Ceremony".
Jim Wade, former filed archaeologist and archivist-researcher with the N.J State Museum, will discuss the significance & importance of the Indian way of life during the autumn season, focusing on the activities of fall hunting, gathering, and religious ceremonies. Special emphasis will be on the Lenape-Delaware Indians "Thanksgiving", known as the "Big House Ceremony". The program will include a slide presentation on the autumn activities, and actual New Jersey Indian stone artifacts will be on display.
