Orchids are a diverse and widespread family of flowering plants, with blooms that are often colorful and fragrant. This program will demonstrate how orchids grow and flourish.

The presenter will cover basic orchid culture and types of orchids that can be grown at home.
We will see photographs of the presenter's orchids, and have a virtual walk-through her greenhouse, if time permits.
Presenter: Anne Skalka is a member of the Central Jersey Orchid Society, and past president. She has been actively growing orchids for approximately fifteen years.In 2018, Anne and her husband built a greenhouse that is attached to their house. Anne grows all types of orchids including paphiopedilums, phragmipedium’s, cattleyas, bulbophyllums, and many vanda-types.
