Learn the basics of Medicare and how you can get the most out of your Medicare dollars. Discover the best options for you and cost-saving programs you may be eligible for. Of particular note, this program will provide details on two options available to county residents:

1. The Personal Assistance Service Program (PASP) is a program for individuals with permanent physical disabilities ages 18-70 who are going to school, working, or volunteering.  It provides up to 40 hours a week in personal care services for individuals who do not qualify for Medicaid and are able to self-direct their services.
   
   
2. The MIPPA Program (Medicare Improvements for Patients & Providers Act) has been established to help people better understand Medicare coverage and connect individuals who may qualify for additional assistance programs to cover their healthcare costs.  An additional goal of the MIPPA Program is to educate beneficiaries and caregivers about preventative benefits and to ensure better health outcomes.
