To most of us, basic Medicare is a hodge-podge of parts and plans. Each part has its own enrollment and eligibility period and penalty for late enrollment.
First, the eligibility age for Medicare and Social Security are not the same.
What is the difference between Original (basic) Medicare (Parts A and B), and Medicare Advantage (Part C) and where does Medigap fit? Is Part D (Prescription) free?
At what age must you apply for Medicare benefits—regardless of whether you’re still working?
This 1.5 hour Zoom program explained in easy-to-understand terms, is vital if you are approaching Medicare eligibility within the next 5 years or are a caregiver for (or the adult child of) someone approaching Medicare eligibility.
Learn what it covers, your options, when to apply, penalties for late enrollment, and much more:
How much does it cost?
What do you have to know if you’re Medicare-eligible and still working?
Do you have to sign up for Medicare if you will get COBRA or retiree health benefits?
Do you have to sign up for Social Security in order to get Medicare?
Presented by Neil Berger.
