Bookstore owner and widower, Malcolm Kershaw wrote a blog years ago for the store's website entitled "Eight Perfect Murders" highlighting his picks of perfect literary murder plots. Now FBI agent Gwen Mulvey pays him a visit, referencing this list and wanting his help. It seems that someone is committing murders using Mal's list. Mal investigates along with the FBI, and more murders occur. It seems that Mal has secrets and is being investigated as well.
