Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a leader in the fight for equal treatment of girls and women (and men and boys!) in society and the workplace. She blazed trails to the peaks of the formerly male-centric worlds of education and law, where women had rarely before risen.
Debbie Levy’s graphic novel (for ages 8 and up), "Becoming RBG: Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Journey to Justice," focuses on the story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s evolution, from quiet child to inquisitive student to brilliant professor to creative courtroom lawyer to the Supreme Court of the United States. Debbie’s New York Times best-selling picture book (ages 5 and up), "I Dissent: Ruth Bader Ginsburg Makes Her Mark," looks at the late Justice Ginsburg’s life through the lens of her many disagreements with injustice.
Debbie Levy is the award-winning author of many books for young people, including "This Promise of Change: One Girl’s Story in the Fight for School Equality," and "The Year of Goodbyes: A True Story of Friendship, Family, and Farewells."
