Explore chemistry and molecular density by making a 3 layer density tower arranging your materials from dense to least: pancake syrup, water with food coloring and oil. Objects will sink or float depending on their density as it relates to the layers in the tower.
The DIY Kitchen Science experiment with liquids invite children and families to learn more about the science of chemistry and molecular density. Children will explore what happens when you make colorful layers using liquids of varying densities, then experiment to see which items sink or float to each layer!
