Attendees will master the ABCs of sewing machine operation, including threading the machine, winding the bobbin, and a variety of sewing machine stitches. Participants will learn some hand sewing and finishing techniques as well.
The same project will be covered in April and May. Please register for one date only.
Read the sewing machine waiver and give your consent below:
As the parent or guardian of the named minor, dependent, or person for whom I am the legal guardian, I hereby give my full consent and approval for my dependent/ward to participate in this program. I understand and freely and knowingly assume the potential risks involved with using a sewing machine and I am willing to assume these risks on behalf of my dependent/ward. I hereby certify that my dependent/ward is fully capable of participating in this event and that my dependent/ward is healthy and has no physical or mental disabilities or infirmities that would restrict full participation in these activities. If there are any issues that will affect participation in this event or if a special accommodation needs to be made, I will contact the library at least one week prior to the event.
In addition to giving my full consent for my dependent/ward’s participation, I do hereby waive, release and hold harmless the Somerset County Library System, its officers, sponsors, supervisors and representatives for any injury that may be suffered by my dependent/ward in the normal course of participation in this program and the activities incidental thereto, whether the result of negligence or any other cause.
