SCLSNJ
Become empowered to take action when it comes to experiencing or observing abuse. Community Service hours will be awarded.
Learn what is abuse, what are the warning signs, and becoming aware of the cycle. Then gain the skills to move from a bystander to an actor when it comes to dating abuse – speaking up for a friend who’s a victim, calling out abusive behaviors, deconstructing messaging from popular culture, and proactively raising awareness in your community.
Presented by Joelle Piercy, LSW, of Safe + Sound Somerset.
Will you need a special accommodation (including food allergy if applicable to the program)? If so, please contact the library and provide at least two weeks notice prior to the event date and the library will make every effort to honor all requests. Thereafter, requests will still be considered and may have less of a chance of being honored.
