Community RoomTwo of our country's most important cultural contributions to the world, baseball and jazz are surprisingly and inextricably intertwined with one another.

Both were instrumental in the early part of the Civil Rights movement, and top baseball players and jazz musicians had a great mutual respect for one another. The association between the two continues to be well represented in our shared American culture through film, TV, and more.
This program features:
- Baseball related music from jazz artists like Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Dr. John, and Nat King Cole
- An accompanying slideshow with historical information about baseball legends like Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, Bernie Williams, and more
- Interesting historical tidbits about famous baseball loving jazz musicians like Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Duke Ellington
