Even though ID theft is rampant, many people are still not vigilant in protecting their privacy, identification, and good name.
Social networking sites, personal information and general purpose search engines, and your home, work, and public-use computers provide considerable information on you—your digital footprint. This session will help you analyze ID safety issues and apply safeguards at work, home, and on the road, not to mention connect to and retrieve additional notable online identity and privacy sites, tools, and resources—all so that you can learn how to detect and protect your digital footprint.
Presented by Robert J. Lackie (Professor-Librarian) is Department Chairperson for the Franklin F. Moore Library at Rider University.
