Discover a family-friendly cultural celebration with crafts, stories, and games.

Join us for:

  • Paper Folding & Crafts: Learn the basics of traditional Chinatown-style paper folding, color your own cardboard lion mask, and create your own paper moon or balloon.
  • Storytelling & Games: Enjoy interactive stories and fun games rooted in cultural legends.

Highlights include:

  • Frog-in-a-Well Wrestling: A playful twist on Kami Sumo, using paper frogs to reenact legendary battles.
  • Flying Cranes Seven-Star Attack: A fast-paced game inspired by Space Invaders, featuring ninja stars and symbolic crane defenders.
  • Magic Paper Fan Demonstration: Watch as the Buddha reveals the art of crafting a paper fan powerful enough to send a crane to the moon—symbolizing the crane as a vessel to the Moon Palace.
  • Chinese Calligraphy: Learn to write the word "Moon" (月) in Chinese.
