Learn facts about the Sun, how eclipses come to be and why we don't have them all the time.
To those who have traveled the globe and witnessed a total eclipse of the Sun, nearly all excitedly admit that it was a life-altering experience. While not everyone can travel to the line of totality, nearly 500 million North Americans can enjoy at least a partial eclipse - weather permitting. Prepare your own "device" to safely track the August 21st eclipse's progress from your own backyard in NJ or from anywhere in the USA!
Weather permitting, we'll get a chance to safely observe the sun using a specialized telescope.
Presented by amateur astronomer Bob Reichman.
Ages 9+ are welcome with an adult.
