Bound Brook resident, Ted Settle, brings the story of the Delaware and Raritan Canal to life.

Learn about the canal's history,  including the decision about where to build it and the feeder canal; the operation of the canal from the 1830's to the 1870's, when it carried more tonnage than the Erie Canal; the closing of the canal in 1932; and the canal as a water source and the designation of most of the canal system as a New Jersey state park in 1974.
