Trader Joe’s is a treasure trove of art. Hidden in plain sight, artwork animates everything from the eye-catching product packaging to handmade murals and signs.

In this lively book talk, author Julie Averbach will uncover the secret and surprising stories behind Trader Joe’s art, inspiring us all to appreciate the grocery store as an art gallery.

Presenter: Julie Averbach is the author of "The Art of Trader Joe’s", the first-ever art and pop culture book about Trader Joe’s brand.

The book draws on her award-winning Yale University thesis in Art History, as well as her discoveries from visiting 150+ Trader Joe's stores nationwide. Currently, Averbach serves as Founder & CEO of smARTee, a nonprofit that provides live virtual art museum tours to foster arts access and wellness.
