SCLSNJ
It’s a mystery that’s intrigued law enforcement, the media and locals alike. She was the first unidentified crime victim to be entered into the FBI’s National Crime Information Center database.
In 1982, the body of a teenage girl was found in a cemetery in Blairstown, NJ. Her untimely death captured the hearts of the townspeople, who dubbed her "Princess Doe", and kept the rest of the nation on the edge of their seats for a resolution that would only come four decades later.
Based on one of the most notorious unsolved crimes in New Jersey's history, "The Untold Story of Princess Doe" begins two years before the discovery of her untimely demise and discovery, creating a harrowing fictional story that gives a name and a story to a girl that was anonymous for far too long.
Princess Doe's identity was finally revealed through DNA on the 40th anniversary of her discovery, July 15, 2022. Her name is Dawn Olanick and she was from Long Island.
