Learn about the art of paper quilling and make one-of-a-kind gifts like greeting cards, bookmarks or small frameable art pieces. Sponsored by the Somerset County Cultural and Heritage Commission.
Originating in 17th century Europe, paper quilling is the art of rolling, shaping, and gluing thin strips of paper together to make complex designs. Participants will learn about paper quilling and how to make different shapes using special quilling paper and tools. Presented by teaching artist April Zay.
Made possible by funds from the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
