Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated each year from September 15 to October 15.
"One Hundred Years of Solitude" written by Columbian author Gabriel Garcia Marquez in 1967, is a novel of magic realism, a genre which will be defined in the presentation, and considered one of the greatest works of world literature. Human isolation and the comedy and tragedy of life are its main themes.
Marquez received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982.
